Los Angeles Won't Be Getting a New NFL Team Just Yet

To live and die in L.A.

None

It looks like the city of Los Angeles will have to  wait at least another year before getting a new NFL team. The plan, of course, was to build a new stadium in downtown L.A., but the deadline for getting a new team passed yesterday. At the moment, no teams seem interested in moving there, either.

So even though the brand new stadium has been co-signed by the L.A. City Council, it can't be built unless the city finds an NFL team to play there. This has to hurt the feelings of the city's NFL fans, who haven't had a true "home team" since the Raiders moved to Oakland in 1995.
