He smells of rich mahogany, too.

The long-awaited Anchorman: The Legend Continues has announced another cast member—James Marsden! He'll play Ron Burgundy's nemesis, a rival anchorman.

A few years ago we might have been dismayed by this news, but Marsden held his own in the absurd silliness of 30 Rock as Liz Lemon's hot dog vendor beau Criss Chros. He also had a good turn in the little-seen Bachelorette (if you haven't seen it, do; it's less LOL than Bridesmaids but edgier). Producers haven't really said anything else about the plot, but shooting starts next month in Atlanta.

Kristin Wiig is also starring (please say they're co-anchors), and of course Will Ferrell, Steve Carrell, Paul Rudd, and David Koechner are all returning as the Channel 4 news team. Director Adam McKay (Talladega Nights, Step Brothers, Bachelorette—he's also Ferrell's Funny or Die co-founder) is back, too.

Anchorman: The Legend Continues is set for a December 20 theatrical release. Here's to hoping Marsden has a mustache.
