Tomorrow, First Lady Michelle Obama will attend the funeral of Hadiya Pendleton, the Chicago teenager who was shot and killed just blocks from her school. Just a week prior, the 15-year-old honor student had performed at the inauguration with her school's marching band.
Joining Obama will be fellow Chicagoans Valerie Jarrett and Education Secretary Arne Duncan. Though no arrests have been made, a $40,000 reward remains for anyone who brings the shooter to justice. Chicago police believe that Pendleton was caught in the crossfire of a turf war.
