The cast of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 just got a little more star power in the form of Academy Award winner Chris Cooper: According to Vulture, the Adaptation star has signed on to portray Norman Osborn in the Andrew Garfield- Emma Stone- starring sequel to 2012's The Amazing Spider-Man, a role previously held by Willem Dafoe in the previous Spiderman franchise. If you're not familiar, Norman Osborn is the billionaire CEO of OSCORP and goes on to become the Green Goblin, a major villain in the series.
Cooper joins the recently cast Jamie Foxx and Paul Giamatti in the film, along with Garfield, Stone, and Shailene Woodley. A great cast, basically!
