Ubisoft has confirmed this morning that, yes, there will be a new Assassin's Creed title dropping soon. Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag will be the next installment in the franchise.

This outing will be focusing on the 'yo-ho, yo-ho pirate's life for me' and see our protagonist taking to the high seas. If that's not the case, than maybe you're forced to go back in time and replace Henry Rollins before he can front for the influential hardcore band. Sigh, we'd play that game.

Black Flag is shaping up to be a naval themed affair with a pirate assassin, taking place mostly in the Caribbean. Expect open-ended ship-based action and combat peppered with Caribbean Island hopping thrown in for good measure.

The game is scheduled to be released on PC, PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii U as shown by the tiny, tiny images culled from the Internets. PS3 users will be getting an exclusive extra 60 minutes of content from the title. What do you think? Excited about the prospect of another Assassin's Creed title? Let us know what you think.
