55 weapons turned up at an NYPD gun buyback over the weekend, but none were more shocking than this assault rifle with a 30-round clip. That's right, an SKS .762 caliber rifle was among the firearms to be returned at the Staten Island event, which was the second that the department sponsored last week.
In addition to the SKS, 33 revolvers, 14 semiautomatic pistols, a rifle, an assault rifle and more were returned to Saint Mary's Episcopal Church. Of the weapons returned, two of them were loaded and had the serial numbers defaced.
