Apple has a bit of a porn problem

On one hand, the company takes a hard-line stance against anything remotely suggestive, and recently went so far as to yank a popular photo sharing application called 500x from its apps store for displaying "pornographic images and material." On the other hand, the company received some bad press over the weekend after hardcore videos started cropping up on the new the Twitter-based video-sharing service Vine.

Worsening matters, a porn clip with the hashtag "dildoplay" was the top pick in the Editor's Picks today, and was likely "pushed out to a huge number of users" since those videos "are automatically inserted into the user's main feed," reports The Verge.

Apple and Twitter have yet to respond with official statements, but the video was quickly pulled after word got out and no longer appears at the top of users' feeds.
