Top Chef alum and D.C. native Timothy Dean is looking to bring his burger and pizza restaurant TD Burger back home to D.C. After opening a TD Burger at the Boulevard at the Capital Centre in Largo, MD early last year, Dean plans to open one within D.C.'s limits by the spring.
While Dean hasn't given a specific location for the new TD Burger, the Washington City Paper reports that he registered an LLC at 250 K St. NE in the former home of Zuppa Fresca. The D.C. location of TD Burger will be like the original in that it will serve burgers, Neapolitan-style pizzas, sandwiches and milkshakes, but will also feature a full-service bar.
Dean also plans to rename burgers after presidents that he's cooked for or met in the past, including Ronald Reagan, Bill Clinton and President Obama.
