You'll scoff at a $200 date after reading this. Bice restaurant, located in Midtown, has a regular-sized pasta dish that costs $2,013. Here's how they justified it to Gothamist:

"What makes it so expensive is it’s made of fresh ingredients of mixed wild mushrooms, 2 lb lobster, shaved seasonal black truffles adding to, it’s served on a Limited Edition Gianni Versace Bice plate, especially made for Bice 7 months before Gianni Versace died, It’s signed and numbered with only 50 plates left and the guest will bring it home."

Before you attribute the cost to the Versace plate, be aware that it's only worth $350, which means the food alone costs $1,663. The meal is being served through Feb. 15, and five people have already purchased it.
