Come this Saturday, Chocolate City Beer will release its new creation: The "Mister Mayor" brew. The beer is an oak-aged imperial stout that's made with marionberries. Yes, you read that correctly. Keep in mind that marionberries are an actual thing; they're blackberries that were created in the '50s by Oregon State University scientists and the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
While Chocolate City Beer isn't coming out and saying that Councilman (and former mayor) Marion Barry was the inspiration for the beer, we know what's up. Clever one, guys.
