Temple Run was a smash hit last year, nabbing more than 40 million downloads on iOS alone. And now that the sequel lands on iOS and Android Wednesday night—it's already in the New Zealand Zpp store—the Internet is going bonkers.
Beyond the new graphics and settings, 'Temple Run2' improves on its predecessor's format by offering three unlockable runners, plus the ability to activate shields and other powers with a double-tap, explains imore. The purchasable upgrades and ability to snag power-ups while collecting coins are still there, but the new additions promise to make the game even more addictive.
'Temple Run 2' is free to play, just like the original, and should arrive around 1 p.m. Eastern Time.
