Take A Look At The First Clip From "Batman: The Dark Knight Returns – Part 2" (Video)

Last year, DC and Warner Brothers released Batman: The Dark Knight Returns – Part 1, which was an animated retelling of the first half of Frank Miller’s landmark comic book from 1986. The direct-to-DVD movie was an overwhelming success, and now as we wait for the second part to be released later this month, the studio has debuted the first official clip from the movie.

Though we were hoping to catch a glimpse of the Joker or Superman—who both play huge roles in the second half—this video showcases Batman taking down some of Gotham’s finest, who are now being led by Commissioner Ellen Yindel. As we saw with the first part, this version of Batman is brawny and brutal as he has made enemies on both sides of the law in a city gone mad.

Batman: The Dark Knight Returns – Part 2 will hit shelves on January 29.
