Bad news for fans of Syfy's AlphasAccording to The Hollywood Reporter, the network has opted not to renew the series after a two-season run.

"We’ve been proud to present this entertaining, high-quality series for two seasons and to work with an incredible ensemble of talented actors, producers and creatives as well as our partners at BermanBraun Television," Syfy said of the decision in a statement. "We’d like to thank the show’s dedicated regular viewers for their tremendous support."

The series followed an "unlikely" team of people who used superhuman abilities to solve cases for the FBI, CIA, and the Pentagon that others could not. The second season finished airing in October of 2012.
