Study Shows That D.C. is the Ninth-Drunkest City in the U.S.

But who's #1?

None

Thanks to The Daily Beast, an end of the year study shows which American cities are the drunkest, and D.C. landed in the top 10—ninth to be specific. The study was organized by Experian Marketing Services, and results show that the average adult Washingtonian downs 15.6 drinks per month, or one roughly every other day. 14.5 percent of adults registered as binge drinkers, and 5 percent were considered heavy drinkers.

We know what you all came here to find out: Which city is the drunkest? That honor goes to Boston, where 7.4 percent are heavy drinkers and 20.1 percent are binge drinkers. Heavy is the drunken head the wears the crown.
