Netflix Launches Super HD and 3D Streaming Content

For select ISPs only.

Netflix has enhanced the video streaming experience for users with its new Super HD and 3D video streaming content.

After a series of rumors, Netflix finally confirmed new premium streaming options. Simply, Super HD is higher quality 1080p content. Additionally, subscribers who own 3D televisions can now stream 3D-ready movies such as Art of Flight and Immortals.

But don't run to your Netflix queue just yet—at the moment the availability of the new features is limited to subscribers with Cablevision or Google Fiber Internet service. Users lucky to have those ISPs, however, can start streaming Super HD and 3D movies on an array of devices: PS3, Wii U, Windows 8, Roku, Apple TV, Blu-ray players, and smart TVs with 1080p support.
