According to authorities in Helena, MT, a man armed with a knife walked into a Papa John's and demanded cash from an employee after handing the worker a threatening note. As he was receiving the cash, he exploded into tears, explaining that he was only robbing the restaurant to feed his starving wife and child.
The cashier was able to talk the man out of the robbery, instead offering a pizza, some wings and a soda. After waiting for the food to be prepared, the man accepted the meal and left. Police ChiefTroy McGee says authorities are searching for the man, but don't even know what to charge him with.
This story is shockingly similar to that of a man who attempted to rob a Starbucks in Alabama, but accepted a free cup of coffee instead. However, he was arrested immediately afterwards.
