"Les Misérables" Beats "Django Unchained" In Box Office, "The Hobbit" Still in Top Spot

It was another close holiday for new films, as Les Misérables moved back up to the number two spot in the box office with a gross of $6.3 million on Monday - only a few days after it was pushed down to the number three spot by Quentin Tarantino's Django Unchained. Les Mis at number two means Django Unchained, which earned $5.2 million on Monday, is back at number three.

Meanwhile, The Hobbit is still at the top spot in the box office, with $7 million earned on Monday bringing its domestic total to $228.6 million. Worldwide, the film has already grossed over $600 million.

Final holiday numbers, including today's earnings, will officially be released tomorrow.
