Good news for filesharers! If there's still a Megaupload-size whole in your heart from the popular website's epic shutdown almost exactly one year ago, it may finally be filled tomorrow with the launch of Mega, the new file-sharing service from Megaupload founder Kim Dotcom.

Mega is set to go live on Saturday the 19th, one year to the date since the United States Justice Department brought the hammer down on its predecessor due to piracy allegations. The new site is ostensibly a cloud storage service, a la Dropbox, but with an emphasis on privacy. Mega automatically encrypts everything you upload so neither it nor anyone else knows the contents of your file unless you tell them.

The design is basic and pretty clean— it looks like one of Microsoft's new web apps like Outlook or Sky Drive. Check here tomorrow to try it for yourself.
