According to media reports, Iran is looking into developing "intelligent software" that will control a person's access to social networking sites. Even though Twitter and Facebook are already banned, some Iranians are finding ways to skirt around the restrictions. And while blocking social networking altogether may be too drastic of a measure, Iranian police chief Esmaeil Ahmadi Moghadam believes that "smart control of social networks is better than filtering them completely."
Still, there is no word on when the software will be finished or how it will all work, so only time will tell.
