A friendly ice skating outing was cut short after a GPS led Rodrigo Diaz and friend to a wrong address.

The faulty GPS guided Diaz to the home of 69-year-old Phillip Sailors (pictured above). The group waited briefly in the driveway before being approached by Sailors, who is a Vietnam veteran. According to 15-year-old eyewitness Yeson Jimenez: "The guy came out. He went in again and he came out with a gun in his hand and he shot into the air." As the group attempted to leave Sailors' residence he began firing at the vehicle, and ultimately murdering Diaz.

The remaining passengers were then held at gunpoint by Sailors until the police arrived.

Sailors' lawyer claims the elderly man thought his home was about to be invaded so he took action to protect himself and his wife. He is currently being held without bond on charges of malice murder.
