The daughter of a well-known doctor and her Harvard graduate boyfriend were caught with several weapons and bomb-making materials in their Greenwich Village apartment. Morgan Gliedman, 27, and Aaron Greene, 31, also had a "Terrorist Encyclopedia" and instructions for making bombs in their apartment as well. Those that know Greene called his political views "extreme."
Gliedman, who's wanted for alleged credit card theft, is nine months pregnant. She grew up on Park Avenue and graduated from the prestigious Dalton School in 2002. Her father, Dr. Paul Gliedman, is the director of radiation oncology at Beth Israel Hospital, Brooklyn Division. Dr. Gliedman was named one of New York Magazine's top doctors in 2011. Her mother, Susyn Schops Gliedman, is a realtor for Prudential Douglas Elliman.
Inside of Gliedman and Greene's apartment was a plastic container with seven grams of a white chemical powder called HMTD, which is so strong that it forced police to evacuate several buildings in the area. Police also discovered a flare launcher, a modified 12 gauge Mossberg shotgun, ammunition and nine high-capacity magazines.
In the past, Greene has been charged with assault and weapons possession.
