A Florida man got himself into trouble when police found over 100 marijuana plants in his home after he called to report a home invasion. 54-year-old Shane Lawrence phoned police after two men allegedly broke into his home and attempted to rob him. He allowed police to search his home, and they soon found 110 marijuana plants in a spare bedroom that was being used as a grow room.
Lawrence was arrested and charged with possession of over 20 grams of marijuana, cultivating marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police say the plants weighed about 55 pounds and are worth $44,000 on the street.
