Fifty-Nine D.C. Liquor Stores Have Applied to Sell Liquor on Sundays

It's about to happen.

None

After D.C.'s Alcoholic Beverage Regulation Administration began accepting applications for Sunday liquor sales in the city on Jan.16, the response has been understandably overwhelming. So far, 59 establishments have put themselves out there for consideration.

The applicants range from your friendly neighborhood liquor store to big retailers like Costco. The first two applicants that will be considered are Uncle Lee's Seafood (1100 Eastern Ave NE) and Cairo Liquor Store (1618 17th Street NW). All applicants will be assessed on a weekly basis, and in the order that the board receives applications.

It's about to get real on Sundays in D.C.
