According to Variety, Emma Stone is in talks to star in Guillermo del Toro’s upcoming haunted house movie, Crimson Peak, from Legendary Pictures. Even though no deal is confirmed, Stone is expected to sign on to the project soon. Aside from the premise of a haunted house, no plot details are available as of yet. All we know is that del Toro and Lucinda Coxon are in the process of rewriting the script that was originally written by del Toro and Matthew Robbins.
While del Toro has been circling a movie featuring DC Entertainment’s supernatural comic book characters recently, Crimson Peak has been confirmed to be his next film as we wait for Pacific Rim to hit theaters this summer. With shooting on Crimson Peak expected to take place in February of this year, Stone will likely jump right from that to her work on The Amazing Spider-Man 2.
