During prep mode for the role of beloved Apple co-founder Steve Jobs in the biopic jOBS, Ashton Kutcher tried to live on a fruitarian diet. His dedication to the role, however, was harmful to his health: Two days before filming commenced, Kutcher was hospitalized for pancreatic problems.

Kutcher recalled his experience living on fruits, nuts, and seeds with US Weekly: "I was like doubled over in pain and my pancreas levels were completely out of whack, which was completely terrifying, considering everything."

Luckily, Kutcher was able to get back to 100 percent and take on the role of Jobs, a personal idol of his. "It's portraying a guy who just passed away that is really fresh in people's minds, that people are really passionate about, and care about, and have an opinion about," he continued. "That's really scary. Especially portraying a guy that I really admire...it's terrifying, it's terrifying!"

Check out an exclusive clip from jOBShere, which hits theaters this April.
