A Teen's Drunk Driving Facebook Post Leads to His Arrest

Swift justice thanks to social media.

Some things are better left unsaid, especially when you make the bad decisions like jumping behind the wheel intoxicated. And one Oregon teen learned the hard way after bragging on Facebook about his drunk driving adventure.

After bringing in the New Year with some drinks, 18-year-old Jacob Cox-Brown decided to drive home. And he made it in one piece—after hitting two cars. Jacob posted the following Facebook status describing his wild night: “Drivin drunk ... classsic ;) but to whoever’s vehicle i hit i am sorry. :P”

Two of Jacob's friends forwarded the self-indicting message to the police who then investigated. After identifying Jacob's vehicle from descriptions of the accident earlier in the night, he was arrested and charged with two counts of failing to perform the duties of a driver.

Just like Paula Asher, another drunk driver was brought to justice due to a careless Facebook post.
