You can't go wrong with a good set of knives. Everybody knows that. Furthermore, you really can't go wrong with a good set of knives that can cut through tin cans, nails, and pipes.
It seems that, back in the day, there was a great knife surplus, because every time you watched one of these commericals, they tried to give you a dozen extra knives for free. We don't mind, though. These extra cutting utensils will just motivate us to try to slice more adventurous things and push the Ginsu to its limit.
