Hottest Conquests: Rebecca Howe (Kirstie Alley), Janet Eldridge (Kate Mulgrew)

Red Sox relief pitcher turned bar owner Sam "Mayday" Malone is one of the few ladykillers to cop to his number of sexual partners. Twice. In an effort to seal the deal with barmaid Diane Chambers (Shelley Long), he comes clean and tells her that he has not really slept with a lot of women, that the number just gets exaggerated in the bar. When pressed for the actual total, he responds, "Oh, I don't know. Maybe four hun..." When Diane gasps, he quickly improvises: "Honeys! Four honeys."

In 1989, when attempting to bed new bar manager Rebecca Howe (Kirstie Alley), Sam devises a plan to lull her to sleep with some warm milk. When know-it-all mailman Cliff Clavin (John Ratzenberger) questions the effectiveness, Sam asks, "Excuse me, Cliff, but have you slept with over 1,000 women?" Sounds like Sam had a busy six years.
