Emojis haven taken over the world. What first originated in Japan in the 1990s has grown into global phenomenon, with nearly every cell phone maker including a pre-installed set on their devices. If you haven't started using them, you've no doubt seen them either in a text message from a friend or on Twitter. More expressive than an emoticon, emojis allow people to say entire statements in a single picture. Despite their growing popularity—Apple included emojis in its iOS 5 operating system in 2011—the selection is still lacking. For example, there's no emoji for a black person. But instead of complaining we decided to create some of our own. You know what they say: If you want something done, do it yourself. Is there an emoji for that?
