Solange Knowles, the most desirable bachelorette in NYC right now, could have just been the backup singer her entire life. That's what she was doing at 15 for her older sister, Beyoncé's, group Destiny's Child. However, she's making a name for herself outside of Bey's fame. She has released two studios albums, Solo Star, in 2003 and Sol-Angel and the Hadley St. Dreams in 2008.
Solange disappeared from the mainstream music scene until this year, when she dropped her catchy single, "Losing You." She's prepping to debut her first EP on Terrible Records, True, which she released digitally in late November, on CD and vinyl come early January. With her newly refined brand of dance music, it's definitely her time to become a hit. —Lauren Nostro
