Author: James Gleick
Publishing Date: March 6 (Paperback release)
Make no mistake, James Gleick's The Information: A History, A Theory, A Flood, is a mighty tome. It examines humanity’s engagement with information and our understanding of data. Or, put another way: Gleick's epic is a deep, deep dive into the history of information theory. The book highlights well-known theorists Claude Shannon, Norbert Wiener, and Alan Turing, among others. As grand narratives go, you'll be hard pressed to find one as equally all-encompassing and exhaustive as The Information.
