Good news for those who threw down dough for the first Galaxy Note smartphone: Samsung hasn't forgotten about you. Sure, it sucks that the Galaxy Note II with all-new Android features was released mere months after the original, but Samsung announced today that a Jelly Bean update is on the way for the first smartphone-tablet hybrid.

The Samsung Note Premium Suite update will bring Android 4.1 "Jelly Bean" to the device and allow it to boast some of the same features found on the Note II. Some of those features include an improved S Note app that works in conjunction with the S Pen, pop-up Notes, and multi-window multitasking. The update will also bring Google Now, the Android personalized search app.

You can head to the Samsung Galaxy Note product page to learn more about the Premium Suite update. As of now there's no word on when the update will become available, but expect it within the next month.
