Now that Django Unchained is finally out and has lived up to our lofty expectations, movie fans everywhere are already wondering what is next for Quentin Tarantino. And in an interview with The Root, the director explained how he views Django and Inglourious Basterds as the first parts of a thematic trilogy about revenge, with the last installment set to be a spin-off, of sorts, to Basterds. Check out what he had to say about this potential project:

So that was always going to be part of it. And I was going to do it as a miniseries, and that was going to be one of the big storylines. When I decided to try to turn it into a movie, that was a section I had to take out to help tame my material. I have most of that written. It's ready to go; I just have to write the second half of it.

Not only would the movie be set during the same time as Inglourious Basterds, but it might feature some of the characters as well.

None

Obviously any movement on this movie would still be a long way off, but it’s interesting to know that the gears are turning inside Tarantino’s head already. If anything else on Killer Crow surfaces over the next few weeks and months, we’ll be sure to report on it.
