As we await the release of Django Unchained in a few short weeks, cinephiles everywhere are waiting in anticipation for the announcement of what director Quentin Tarantino’s next project will be. And according to a quote that Tarantino gave to We Got This Covered, we know that it probably won’t be Kill Bill Vol. 3.
When the director was asked if we would ever see a sequel to the movie, Tarantino said plainly, “I don’t know if there’s ever going to be a Kill Bill. Vol 3. We’ll see, probably not though.”
That just about settles it, in our opinion. There were rumblings that he might do it a few years ago, but perhaps his work on Django Unchained has inspired him to tackle exclusively original material, as opposed to going back to his older films for ideas.
Django Unchained will hit theaters on Christmas Day.
