The NYPD is searching for a man who attempted to rape a woman who was jogging in East River Park yesterday. Police say the victim was running through the park when she was tackled from behind by the suspect, who was described as a "black male in his late 20s, wearing a gray sweatshirt and green pants."
The man reportedly tried to rip the woman's clothing off, but she was able to fight him off. After seeking help from park employees, she was taken to Beth Israel hospital to treat minor injuries.
