Yesterday, police questioned a suspect in the murder of Ki-Suk Han, who was killed after being pushed in front of a train at 49th Street and 7th Avenue on Monday afternoon. NYPD spokesman Paul Browne has not identified the suspect by name, telling the New York Times that police would not "until a lineup is done" and the man is formally charged.
However, the New York Post claims that the suspect is 30-year-old Naeem Davis, who Browne said had "implicated himself in the crime." Davis has been described as a "homeless drifter" who worked at the Pax eatery in Times Square and sometimes gets paid to help street vendors transport their tables to local garages.
A source claims that Davis told the police that he and Han"bumped into each and started arguing before getting to the turnstiles," and the argument continued on the platform. "He said the victim was harassing him and that he pushed him onto the tracks." Davis reportedly told police, "I begged him to leave me alone, and he wouldn’t. He wouldn’t stay away, and I pushed him."
Davis was apprehended yesterday at 50th Street and 7th Avenue, and the Daily News reports that police received a tip regarding his whereabouts from a Gray Line tours worker.
