A Long Island man treated himself to a few last-minute Christmas presents after seeing his ex-girlfriend walking with another man—assault charges. 33-year-old Oscar Santos was driving on Christmas Eve when he saw his 19-year-old ex-girlfriend walking with a 31-year-old male companion.
Santos backed his car over them, and then got out and started kicking the man in the head and body. Police say that he got back into the vehicle and parked it on the street before fleeing on foot. When he finally returned for the car, he was arrested.
The victims were taken to the hospital where the woman was treated for a broken right ankle and the man was treated for sprained knees. Santos was charged with assault was scheduled to be arraigned yesterday.
