According to Deadline, Warner Brothers is negotiating to acquire the rights to Get Hard, a comedy developed for Will Ferrell and Kevin Hart to star alongside each other in. The movie will focus on an investment banker (Ferrell) who gets sentenced to a maximum security prison for a crime he didn’t commit. And in order to get himself ready for life behind bars, he hires someone with knowledge of the streets (Hart) to prepare him for lockup before he reports to prison.

The script is being written by Ian Roberts and Jay Martel, who are the showrunners for Comedy Central's Key & Peele right now. After a few high-profile misses by Ferrell recently – like The Campaign and Casa de Mi Padre – we’re hoping this movie, as well as Anchorman 2, can get him back on track.
