Harlem Man Beats Grandmother, Attacks Six Cops With Pipe Because of "Voodoo"

A Harlem man was arrested yesterday morning after allegedly beating his grandmother and a police officer with a pipe, then injuring another five officers. According to police, 27-year-old Dominick Anderson attacked 62-year-old Beverly Holmes, then fought six police officers who arrived soon after. 

"My son got psychiatric problems so, and what not, he thinks that my family doing voodoo on him. My mother, he thinks my mother was doing voodoo on him," said Mary Anderson, Anderson's mother. According to Anderson's family, a bystander flagged officer's down in the street and led them into the building. 

Anderson reportedly hit one of the officers with the pipe; other officers attempted to subdue him with pepper spray and a Taser. Holmes and the officer were both taken to St. Luke's Hospital, where Holmes is in critical condition.
