Need a reminder that deep-fried anything can kill you? A shot was fired at a Las Vegas restaurant last Sunday after a firearm was allegedly tossed into a deep fryer. 44-year-old Obdulio Gudiel reportedly approached Roberto Casprowitz and another man in the parking lot and demanded that they give him money. The two fled in a vehicle and called police.

A restaurant employee told police that a man asked her told hold his gun when police arrived, but she refused. It's unclear whether or not she identified the man as Gudiel, but the weapon fired as the building was being evacuated. Gudiel says the incident is a misunderstanding; he claims one of the men in the parking lot was his nephew, who owed him money. He also says he did not have a gun on him that night.

Gudiel was arrested and charged with attempted robbery with a deadly weapon, and the deep-fried firearm did not hurt anyone.
