George Zimmerman's Defense Team Releases Image of His Bloodied Face From Night of Shooting

An updated image.

George Zimmerman's defense team has released a photo showing his bloody face and swollen nose from the night that he murdered 17-year-old Trayvon Martin in Sanford, FL. However, this is not a new image. Instead, it's a high-quality version of a grainy, black-and-white photo from a group of photos released by the Florida State's Attorney Office this past May.

Zimmerman's defense site GZlegalcase.com says that his team was granted access to the updated image on October 29, and they plan to make other public documents related to the case available on the website. This comes less than a week after Zimmerman announced he would be giving signed "autographs" to defense fund donors.

Zimmerman will stand trial beginning on June 10, 2013 after being charged with second degree murder. He has entered a plea of not guilty, claiming that he shot Martin in self-defense.
