Security firm Associated Investigative Services is suing George Zimmerman, his wife and his attorney for $27,000 in unpaid fees. In the recently filed civil suit, AIS claims that ever since an independent trustee took control of Zimmerman's defense fund, payment for its services have stopped.

AIS says that Zimmerman's attorney, Mark O'Mara, hired them on June 26. Since then, the company claims that it has provided Zimmerman with "constant" security coverage. Zimmerman is currently living in hiding while waiting to face second degree murder charges for the February murder of Trayvon Martin.

O'Mara responded, saying that AIS has been paid $40,000, and that a different company is providing Zimmerman with security for a weekly $700 fee. During the same time period, AIS had been charging $7,000 for its services. The company alleges that O'Mara broke Zimmerman's contract because his defense fund is low.
