Fatburger is about to invade New York and create a lot of jobs in the process. The California-based chain says that it will open a location in Manhattan, and then nine other New York locations over the next few years. “Fatburger has wanted to open in New York City for a long time,” CEO Andy Wiederhorn told the New York Daily News.
Fatburger has joined forces with Riese Organization, which runs roughly 75 franchises in New York including KFC and Pizza Hut. The new restaurants will hire 10 to 20 workers each, which will create 200 to 300 new jobs. The first location will be at 509 Third Ave., in the place of Patsy's Pizza.
