Discovery is setting the spotlight on U.S. soldiers serving in in Afghanistan. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the network has just picked up a new three-part reality special about soldiers who risk their lives finding and destroying mines in the country, titled Heroes of Hell's Highway. The series will specifically follow two platoons of specially trained soldiers who "go into the heart of Taliban country to clear improvised explosive devices, or IEDs, so the rest of the military can get through."
Discovery released a promo for the first episode, which you can check out above. The special will air back-to-back on December 29th, starting at 8 PM.
