D.C. Metrorail Will Stay Open Extra Hour This Sunday to Accommodate Rescheduled Redskins Game

This coming Sunday will be a huge day for D.C. sports, as the Washington Redskins and Dallas Cowboys will face off in an epic NFC East battle in the final game of the 2012 NFL regular season. The showdown will take place at FedEx field in Landover, MD and Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) has decided to extended metro hours by an hour now that the game has been moved to the 8:20 p.m. prime time position.

Here's a statement from WMATA:

Fans leaving FedEx Field for Morgan Boulevard station will find the last Blue Line train headed toward Franconia-Springfield at 12:25 a.m., and the last Blue Line train to Largo Town Center at 1:33 a.m. Customers will be able to make connections to other lines as follows:

It's goin' down Sunday night.
