NBC may have canceled his series Next Caller before it ever made it to the air, but Dane Cook is sticking with the network. According to Deadline, the comedian has signed a new deal with NBC which guarantees that a series will be developed for him to star in soon.

Though Cook's role in Next Caller was due to another deal he signed with the network a while back, execs pulled the plug on the series after seeing the first four episodes and disagreeing with its "creative direction." They reportedly liked Cook though, for some reason, and jumped to ink another deal.

No word yet on what Cook's next project for the network will be, but you can rest assured it's on its way - whether we like it or not.
