Bronx resident Reynaldo Nazario has been accused of stealing 30 cars in 75 days, and now he's been indicted in 26 of those cases. Between Aug. 2 and Oct. 23, the 35-year-old Nazario went on a ridiculous tear, and his brother says it's because cars have always been his vice. In an interview with the Times, Nazario's brother said " “My brother’s drug is cars.”

His brother told a story about how Nazario was fixing a neighbor's car, but messed something up. He allegedly told her "Don’t worry, I’ll get you another car," then stole one from in front of the building and gave it to her. Police eventually put an end to his spree after they figured out he was selling most of the stolen cars to a scrap yard.

He currently faces 26 counts of possessing stolen property, grand larceny and falsifying business records. The other four counts are still before a grand jury, so if convicted, he could face over 100 years in prison combined. Nazario, who's been in and out of prison for the past decade, had been out of prison since May.
