Just because you've placed it on a bun, doesn't mean it qualifies as a burger. We're all for vegetarian, vegan, and even gluten-free dining options, but in our minds, a burger will never be deserving of the name if it doesn't have a thick, juicy patty of red meat. Chicken, black bean, and turkey patties can be pretty tasty, we admit. But it's no closer to being a burger than a lobster roll is to being a hot dog. It's not the bun that makes the burger—it's the beef!
