As expected, FX has officially opted to renew the the Elijah Wood- Jason Gann-starring series Wilfred for a third season. There will be a few changes, however: David Zuckerman, who developed the originally Australian series for American audiences and FX, has stepped down as showrunner, and handed the reigns over to writer-producers Reed Agnew and Eli Jorné. Additionally, Wilfred will no longer air with Louie on Thursdays, as that series is on a hiatus imposed by Louis C.K. himself. But hey, look at the bright side - at least it's coming back.

Season three will reportedly consist of 13 episodes, and is likely to premiere sometime in June 2013.
