Why Kids Should Be Afraid of Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy, and the Rest of Their Creepy Friends

Easter Bunny

Much like Santa Claus is the face of Christmas, the Easter Bunny is the face of Easter. Though, technically, both holidays are supposed to be of religious significance—Easter celebrates the resurrection of Jesus Christ—to children, the day represents getting lots of chocolate and candy, which is all supposed to be supplied by a gigantic rabbit.

A great idea to kids, because who doesn’t love getting free candy, but here’s the thing: We teach our children not to take candy from strangers. But, when it’s a gigantic rabbit bearing candy, suddenly, it’s OK. If you ask us, with that whole schtick all the Easter Bunny is missing is an old van with no windows and a license plate that reads KIDLVR.
